- Participation in the assessment, formulation and post diagnostic group-based intervention for children and young people within the NDS.
- The communication of highly complex information to, parents/carers, young people and other professionals in a sensitive manner.
- To act as a lead specialist, offering psychological advice and consultation to parents/carers, young people and other professionals.
- To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the teams.
- The post-holder will organise and deliver teaching and training to professionals, young people and parents/carers on issues related to child development and Neurodiversity.
- The post-holder will be expected to plan their workload, including prioritising cases in terms of urgency and risk, as well as monitoring/supervising the caseload of psychological practitioners.
- The post-holder will be required to travel between a range of appointment venues across the county of Norfolk.
- Honours degree in Psychology.
- Graduate membership of BPS.
- Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS.
- Registration or application to register with Health and Care Professions Council.
- Other related academic qualifications to Masters or Doctorate level.
- Application for Chartered status made to British Psychological Society.
- Working with client group either during or prior to training.
- Further training within designated specialty.
- Clinical supervision training for Doctoral trainees.
- Record of having published in peer reviewed or academic or professional journals and/or books.
- High level (doctoral) skills in communication; teaching; clinical supervision; clinical analysis and formulation and research methodology.

Job summary
We are seeking a Band 7 Psychologist to join our'Outstanding'community Children's and Young People's would be involved in shaping psychological provision within our Neurodevelopmental Service (NDS).
Full time or part time hours are available and across Norfolk; including Kings Lynn and Norwich. Bases are negotiable and flexible working is supported and includes agile/home working where relevant.Working hours and preceptorship options can be discussed at interview.
The NDS offers diagnostic assessment and a range of post diagnostic workshops to support the lives of children and young people who have suspected Neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Main duties of the job
Your role will be varied and will include a range of assessment, formulation, post diagnostic group-based intervention and service development. This will include direct and indirect work with the children and young people that we support, as well as their families and the professional networks involved in their care.
Your role will include bringing a psychologically informed perspective through consultation to the clinical team and external agencies. There will be opportunities to contribute to the supervision, teaching and training of psychological practitioners and other professionals within the team.
You will utilise your research skills for audit, policy and service development, and dissemination of appropriate research evidence. Further involvement in research can also be supported where appropriate to the needs of the service.
