    As a Surveyor in our newly established Damp and Mould Team, you will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive surveys, generating detailed reports and offering recommendations to mitigate dampness and mould problems effectively.

    The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills together with expertise in identifying, assessing and providing solutions for dampness and mould-related issues in residential and commercial properties.

    At Riverside, we value diversity in all its forms. Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify the presence of dampness, mould growth and associated issues.
    Evaluate the extent of damage caused by dampness and mould, including structural integrity, health hazards and aesthetic concerns.
    Collaborate with tenants, contractors and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and address concerns regarding dampness and mould.
    Generate detailed survey reports outlining findings, observations and recommendations for remedial actions.

    Advise stakeholders on effective strategies for preventing and managing dampness and mould problems, including moisture control measures, ventilation improvements and building maintenance practices.

    Maintain accurate records of survey data, reports, correspondence and other relevant documentation.

    Working towards HNC/HND in construction / building services.
    Experience of building surveying and Damp/Mouldrac
    Strong knowledge of building construction principles, materials, and systems, particularly as they relate to dampness and mould issues.
    Basic knowledge of construction methods.
    Basic knowledge of Building Regulations, Health & Safety and other statutory/regulatory standards.
    Basic commercial acumen.
    Educated to degree level in construction / building services.
    Experience of working in social housing and in partnership with a local authority client.
    Asbestos identification and actions.
    Experience in construction or building industry.
    Contract management system competency.
