    Intern, Forensics - London, United Kingdom - Control Risks

    Description

    This is an exciting opportunity to join the European Forensics & Investigations practice and be a key support in the delivery of client engagements and business development/marketing objectives.

    You will be responsible for undertaking key research and presenting these findings back concisely to the F&I team.

    You will be involved in:

    • Sorting through disparate data sources to compile and organise information
    • Checking that information is accurate and up to date, including by conducting internet searches to validate the information; this could involve simple searches in several languages
    • Writing memos to summarise findings and results of the process
    • Compiling and organising data from financial statements and other accounting information in excel
    • Conducting market research using public record search engines and databases
    • Reviews of evidence sources for consideration as part of investigations
    • Administrative support, to include preparation of exhibits and files to support investigation reporting

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of public record databases an advantage
    • Familiarity with corporate information an advantage
    • Fluent in at least one language in addition to English
    • Knowledge or experience of accounting an advantage
    • A keen interest in the use of innovative technology
    • Ability to understand, summarise and present large amounts of information concisely
    • Good excel and general computing skills
    • Proficient in preparing reports or analysis in a user-friendly format
    • General resourcefulness in dealing with internet research
