    The post is an ideal opportunity for a Band 5 who is looking to gain further experience in their clinical skills in a specialist area. Working within the Older People's Mental Health Service line and reporting to the Senior Practitioner (B7 OT) Inpatients.

    The focus of the post is to carry out comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions to patients and carers, and to supervise and clinically support more junior members of the multidisciplinary team including students. The interventions will include education, individual work and group work and will involve working closely with patients, carers, statutory and voluntary agencies, within a multi-disciplinary team. They will hold their own caseload of patients. The post holder will be based in Meridien Ward, in Hammersmith & Fulham MH unit and they will work closely with the MDT team within the ward.We look forward to receiving applications from passionate and enthusiasticcandidates who are excited to begin their career as an Occupational therapist Main duties of the job This is a B5 post based in the vibrant borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. The post holder will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team and the wider occupational therapy team within the older people's mental health service line. Patients who are referred to this service are those with functional decline due to chronic or acute mental health conditions. Occupational Therapy service provide specialist care to patients diagnosed with different Mental health conditions, including but not limited to functional assessment, therapy intervention, sensory integration and specialist seating assessments. The post holder will work closely with Psychiatrist, Psychology team, other AHP , nursing and health care colleagues and discharge co-ordinator.     • BSc (Hons), PG Dip, MSc or equivalent occupational therapy qualification
    • HCPC registration
