    Description

    Arthur is partnered exclusively with an Insurance Company who is hiring an Underwriting Controls Analyst to join their team.

    In this newly created position, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Underwriting Operations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of underwriting data, verify the effectiveness of control processes, and develop or supervise exception reporting and business rule monitoring. Main Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the annual review, collation, and enhancement of underwriting standards and policies, and collaborate with the Underwriting Director for approval.
    • Review the effectiveness of processes and controls within each underwriting team to ensure compliance with standards and policies and recommend improvements where necessary.
    • Identify areas where underwriting standards and policies are not met, provide guidance on deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Perform sample checks of underwriting files at various stages to ensure accuracy and completeness, report on exceptions, and investigate and track root causes.
    • Oversee the data exception process and associated reporting.
    • Verify that underwritten business adheres to the Underwriting Framework, Protocols, Guidelines, and Letters of Authority.
    • Review data entry for accuracy and completeness to ensure the validity of reporting.
