    Description

    Assistant Management Accountant Position

    The job of Assistant Management Accountant is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to become part of our clients' Accounting & Finance team.

    About the Company

    We are a prominent manufacturing and production business with our headquarters in Milton Keynes. We are committed to innovation and excellence in delivering top-notch products to customers worldwide. As our business grows, we are looking for a capable Assistant Management Accountant to assist our finance department in enhancing financial performance and making strategic decisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of financial performance, encompassing variance, cost, and profitability analysis.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Aid in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
    • Month-end Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, involving journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.
    • Management Reporting: Create and circulate management reports, dashboards, and KPIs to offer insights into business performance and trends.
    • Cost Control: Monitor and examine manufacturing costs, pinpointing areas for cost savings and operational efficiency enhancements.
    • Inventory Management: Support in inventory valuation and management, including periodic stock takes and reconciliations.
    • Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as directed by senior management.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
    • Prior experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
    • Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret intricate financial data and communicate findings effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Keen attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
    • Adept at working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of efficient task prioritization.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering relationships across various departments.
