    Position:
    Fleet Quality Engineer

    Qualification: 3rd Level Qualification in Engineering Discipline.

    Location:
    Rathcor, Co. Louth / Hybrid
    About XOCEAN

    XOCEAN is an ocean data company – we collect data for clients ranging from mapping the seabed to monitoring the environment.

    However, we do this differently, instead of using conventional crewed survey ships, we have developed a marine robotic system known as an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV).

    Overview

    The successful candidate will join the fleet technical team, where they will develop a quality framework across the Production, R&D, Maintenance and Field Maintenance teams, to improve XOCEAN's fleet productivity and reliability.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities


    Responsibilities will include:

    Develop a deep understanding of XOCEAN's technology and work practices to develop proactive measures to improve the quality and processes across the fleet.

    Create and manage a quality framework across the fleet team.
    Develop and maintain the quality documentation package for the fleet technical team in line with industry standards.
    Work with wider fleet team to ensure quality documentation and SOPs are up to date and maintained.
    Work with cross function teams on quality improvements and quality standards.
    Develop, manage and optimise KPIs/metrics that show fleet quality performance.

    Proactively review and improve the fleet team's processes to ensure that all activities are performed correctly using the right materials, tools and personnel.

    Inspect and audit the fleet team's work completion and sign-off throughout the lifecycle of a


    USV:
    Testing, Validation, Production, Maintenance & Operations.

    Requirements:
    Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience

    ~5+ Years in quality engineering environments or similar,
    ~3rd Level qualification in engineering discipline
    ~ Analytical and statistical skills
    ~ Strong communication skills, both verbal and through reports.
    ~ Proficiency in technical writing
    ~ Knowledge of ISO standards
    ~ Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and attention to detail
    ~ Ability to work with and challenge other teams and colleagues in problem solving activities.
    ~ Ability to manage time independently, tasked with short term reactionary duties as well as long term strategic projects
    ~ Motivated to learn new technologies and identify process improvement opportunities

    Desirable Criteria

    Basic experience of electrical and/or control systems would be a distinct advantage.
    Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methods would be an advantage.
    Experience with PowerBi
    Experience with Jira
    Located in North-East Leinster.
