    The roleAs a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be leading and undertaking engineering projects as part of the in-service engineering team.

    Day to day, you'll lead and deliver transversal engineering projects, as well as assessing engineering operations through the generation and application of engineering processes, governance and capability plans.


    This includes:


    Leading and undertaking engineering projects end to end across multiple domains and disciplinesWorking closely with relevant Subject Matter Experts across Babcock, the MOD and other key stakeholdersGenerating and applying engineering processes, governance and capability artefactsThis role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with two days in the office/onsite and three days working from home.

    Essential experience of the Senior Systems EngineerUnderstand, articulate, develop and deliver technical requirementsExperience of driving innovation and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of products and processesManage projects and tasks in a constantly shifting environment including the delivery of tasks on time, within budget and meeting customer quality standardsHave a familiarity with commercial (including sub-contract) processes.

    Proficient in the use of appropriate Project Management & IT tools (especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Visio)Qualifications for the Senior Systems EngineerDegree in a relevant STEM discipline; orQualified to HND / BTEC Level 5 in a relevant STEM discipline may be acceptable augmented by experience in a relevant engineering fieldChartered or Incorporated Engineer, or have a working plan in place demonstrating how this will be achieved with an appropriate engineering institutionSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
