    Description

    Join a local Financial Services business's team as an Assistant Financial Accountant

    CMA has teamed up with a local Financial Services business to add an Assistant Financial Accountant to their squad on a permanent basis. The role, reporting to the Finance Director, will assist the finance team with technical accounting support. This is an opportunity for growth and development within the company.

    Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant role:

    • Assist with drafting annual statutory accounts.
    • Prepare corporate tax returns.
    • Handle VAT returns.
    • Supervise 2 purchase ledger clerks.
    • Manage funding entities.
    • Conduct internal audits.
    • Carry out adhoc project work as needed.

    Requirements for the Assistant Financial Accountant position:

    • Must be actively studying towards ACA or ACCA.
    • Essential experience working in an accountancy practice.
    • Advantageous to have working knowledge of Sage 50.
    • Strong communication skills and a drive to contribute to team development.
