Overview

Our client, situated in north Birmingham, is a prominent figure in the retail sector. They are presently in need of an experienced Part Qual Management Accountant to join their expansive finance team. This role entails overseeing a critical client arm of retail and ensuring distribution runs smoothly. The chosen candidate will primarily handle monthly reporting responsibilities, making it an ideal fit for an accountant with stock experience.

Reporting directly to the designated FM overseeing stock, you will take on a supportive role, offering reporting to team members both within and outside the office environment. Your duties will encompass managing month-end processes across various sites, including tasks such as accruals, prepayments, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and addressing inquiries as they arise. Your analytical brain will be put to use anlysing postiions to give crucial insight.

Skills required

Have fantastic Excel skills and the ability to use these to refine processes.
Ideally, a finalist or part qualified accountant; however, candidates with substantial experience (QBE) will also be considered.
Previous experience in stock is preferential.
Effective communication skills, particularly in client-facing scenarios.
