Description
As we enter into 2024, OCU Group is continuing to maintain a sustained period of growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector.nDue to this and our continued contract winning success, we currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team based in the Northwest, Delamere and Stockport office.nYou will be working closely with project managers, construction managers, and other stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
nPreparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business.nDeveloping and presenting project proposals.nMeeting with clients to find out their requirements.nProducing plans and estimating budgets and timescales.nDiscussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of business contracts.nAgreeing budgets and timescales with the clients.nManaging construction schedules and budgets.nDealing with any unexpected costs.nAttending site meetings to monitor progress.nActing as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers.nWorking with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.nMaking sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards.nLiaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and the client's own representatives.nOverseeing final accounts at the end of a project.nWorking on-site and in an office.
Skills and Experience:
nDegree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management.
Equivalent work experience will also be considered.nExisting experience of managing Water and Waste water projects.nWorking knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 / FIDIC contracts desirable.nAn understanding of the construction/utilities/water industry.nAn understanding of legal documentation.nMaths and IT knowledge.nStrong leadership skills, knows what good looks like.nBusiness management skills.nThe ability to use your initiative.nGood verbal communication skills.
nKnowledge of water industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the UKnDriving License:Essential.
