This role is within a unit where Surrey Police and Sussex Police work in collaboration, whilstremaining two separate legal entities/employers with different terms and conditions.
Both Surrey Police staff and Sussex Police staff are employed in this unit on their own force terms and conditions.
Successful candidates may be appointed on the terms and conditions of employment of either Surrey Police or Sussex Police, depending on organisational requirements.

We have fixed-term contract opportunities for experienced project management professionals to join the Joint Surrey & Sussex Police Change Delivery team, working alongside colleagues from across the police service on the delivery and implementation of a range of projects including:Business process changes and organisational restructures in operational units and enabling services
Implementation of the strategic estate strategy
The team support local, bilateral and regional change activity to ensure that the forces can provide efficient and cost-effective policing services.
Managing or supporting delivery of one or more projects and be accountable for their successful delivery.Coordinating time, budget, and resources, and delegating tasks across the project team.
Agreeing and monitoring key deliverables and milestones, establishing resource requirements, identifying and managing risks and reporting progress to stakeholders as required.
Provide a range of services including project management, authoritative advice, and consultancy to business leads across the organisation.You may also undertake project health checks and Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs).
have experience in successfully delivering projects in a business improvement context, maximising the benefits of technological innovation for operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
be able to influence and build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation and in particular the ability to provide credible advice to SROs and senior project stakeholders.
be a creative problem-solver, with strong commercial acumen, able to analyse and interpret data to devise and implement solutions that deliver value for money for police services.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, or able to demonstrate experience as a project manager.PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification or similar, and proven experience in project management.
Competence in MS Office Suite and Project.
