This is an exciting opportunity to transform the way in which crisis care is experienced by children, young people (CYP) and those who care for them across Greater Manchester.

This role is a key element of a new GM wide Crisis Care Pathway which is child centred, needs led, responsive, accessible and flexible.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations.

We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.

Pay Enhancements 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.

Design and delivery of training and education for individuals and teams

Highly specialist knowledge and understanding of working with complex family situations, mental health, substance misuse in relation to safeguarding CYP
Highly specialist knowledge of the recognition and assessment of CYP at risk of significant harm
Understanding of the National agenda for CYP Safeguarding/Adult in Need
Legal literacy - Adult safeguarding.
Multi-agency working
Specific expertise in Adult's health and development, Adult maltreatment and local arrangements for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Adult
In-depth knowledge on Adult care Law, policy and practice

Able to use own initiative, interpret policy, provide advice and act independently.
