    Job Opportunity: Enhance Smart Ticketing Systems


    Purpose of Role:

    The Rail Delivery Group (RDG) aims to revolutionize Britain's railway system by uniting all railway companies under a single vision of providing exceptional service to passengers and communities. The Digital Ticketing Services (DTS) division plays a crucial role in this mission, facilitating the implementation of cutting-edge smart ticket solutions across the country. As part of a dynamic team, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative smart ticketing projects and manage technical tasks to drive system enhancements.


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and execute manual and automation test scripts to ensure top-quality testing outcomes.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for Certification Testing and compliance analysis.
    • Conduct risk-based compliance testing to uphold RDG's policies and standards.
    • Manage a Non-Compliance Risk Register and suggest improvements to policies and standards.
    • Provide testing support across multiple projects and initiatives.
    • Deliver technical documentation and guides as needed.
    • Represent the DTS service at relevant boards and forums when necessary.
    • Establish strong relationships with internal peers and external stakeholders.
    • Manage daily activities and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in complex IT systems and system analysis.
    • Work independently to meet project goals and deadlines.

    Requirements:

    • Essential: Proven experience in system implementation, automation, and standards compliance. Technical problem-solving skills and familiarity with ITIL processes are essential. Proficiency in test tools and certification standards testing is required.
    • Familiarity with SOAPUI, Rest, Selenium, Python, SQL, JIRA, and Test Rail.
    • Sound understanding of ITSO Specifications and Rail Related Standards.
    • Desirable: Experience with mobile technologies and knowledge of contactless payment technology.
