    Job Description: Band 6 Charge Nurse

    We are looking for a full-time Band 6 Charge Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality care to Outpatients Service Users. If you are a motivated and skilled nurse with a passion for outpatient care, this position is perfect for you.

    Opportunities:

    Requirements:

    We need someone who is well-organized, motivated, and dedicated to providing holistic care. You should enjoy working with specialties like Dermatology, Cardiology, Neurology, and more in the Outpatient setting.

    Responsibilities:

    As a Band 6 Charge Nurse, you will assist the Senior Charge Nurse and collaborate with other nurses in the department. Your role involves covering, coordinating, and working on a rotational basis with colleagues.

    Main Duties:

    • Support the Senior Sister in professional development within outpatients.
    • Provide leadership in the absence of the Senior Sister.

    • Manage outpatient clinics effectively to maintain standards.
    • Lead projects and initiatives to improve patient experience and care quality.
    • Supervise staff development and appraisals.

    Education/Qualifications:

    Essential:
    • Registered Nurse.
    • Relevant post-registration clinical courses.
    • Evidence of continuing professional development.
    Desirable:
    • Degree-level study.

    Experience:

    Essential:
    • Registered Nurse.
    • Teaching experience.
    • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience.
    • Understanding of research and audit processes.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

    Essential:
    • Practice within NMC Code.
    • Excellent English language skills.
    • Advanced interpersonal skills.
    • Effective management of difficult situations.
