  • The senior data and analytics manager is responsible for driving seamless integration of data insights, enhance service offering and make tangible impact across the full spectrum of data and MI. Leads a team producing and developing data insights across the business from data captured in Mace HR and related IT Systems including meaningful workforce analytics.

    The role partners and collaborates with stakeholders across HR and the wider business to capture business requirements, understand business motivation and ensure data is produced in the most appropriate and user-friendly form to meet the requirement.

    The role is accountable for ensuring the foundation for processes, roles and responsibilities, downstream impact and service delivery is fit for purpose, embed regular and routine audits.

    You'll be responsible for:

  • Provides deep technical/functional expertise, insight and external perspective of good practice and/or innovation from other sectors to support and drive business solutions and improvements.
  • Manages and influences key/senior stakeholders at all levels up to C-Suite. Develops and maintains internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Is responsible for managing process to ensure good practice, governance and compliance is adhered to and maintained.
  • Drives and implements advanced analytic models and provides routine information and analytic solutions based on Microsoft Power BI to help the business gain actionable insights.
  • Engages and partners with key business stakeholders to gather BI (Business Intelligence) requirements and build meaningful insights for internal customers.
  • Drives and improves understanding and awareness on standards for data integrity and ownership.
  • Acts as data management expert on projects relating to data to include review of global MIS (Management Information Systems) tables and application enhancements.
  • Has advanced understanding of Mace master data dictionary definitions and their use relating to Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management), other systems and associated downstream interfaces i.e. Resource Link, Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)/finance, etc.
  • Is responsible for tier 3 level providing oversight, guidance and escalation handling for all lower levels.
  • Utilises advanced expertise in data and analytics and identifies and implements continuous improvement plans, identifies key business improvements.
  • Accountable for delivering the strategy and plans for the portfolio/area, provides leadership, guidance & direction to team driving portfolio strategy and implementation ensuring team meets KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and OKDs (Objectives and Key Deliverables).
  • You'll need to have:

  • Technology skills with enterprise software applications used in the HR domain. Specifically: Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM including Oracle BI tools, Oracle Taleo.
  • Technology skills with business intelligence and data analytics tools. Specifically: Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), BI Publisher, Microsoft Power BI, Excel.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, analyse and present data that provides insight.
  • Ability to work with and without integrated systems and extract and consolidate data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of the business, its strategy and plans.
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques with ability to analyse detailed data requirements as part of overall requirements capture.
  • Expert analytical and numerical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and expertise in data and analytics domain.
  • Familiarity with the HR domain such as policies and processes, statutory and regulatory requirements etc.
  • Prior experience of data management concepts. e.g. data storage and reporting, master data management, data governance and security.
  • Familiarity with how to observe data privacy and GDPR compliance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently yet open and collaborative.
  • Ability to manage business expectations, prioritise work, communicate progress and deliver to promise.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating logical thinking, curiosity and an attention to detail.
  • Experience of working with senior and sometimes challenging individuals.
  • Maintaining a calm and considered approach in challenging situations
  • Takes pride in creating high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience of managing and prioritising competing demands ensuring deadlines are met without loss of standards.
  • Leadership skills, can lead, guide, coach and direct others via direct or matrix management (or equivalent).
  • Extensive demonstratable relevant previous experience in similar role (or equivalent).
  • You'll also have:

  • Ability to present data using story-telling and visual design techniques.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Substantial hands-on experience of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, especially around OTBI.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Methodical and organised.
  • Ability to deliver to agreed deadlines, effectively handles multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Ability to anticipate, prioritise and overcome problems.
  • Collaborates and networks.

  • Direct line management experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and data warehousing concepts e.g. Databases, self-service BI and analytics etc.
  • Oracle BI Publisher functionality.
