- Raise awareness of CRT and CRiB2 in BSMHFT
- Engage service users, obtaining informed clinical consent
- Manage and store collected information adhering to ethical requirements
- Liaise with local clinical and academic teams supporting the trial
- Assist in the delivery and implementation of CRiB2
- Collect and analyze data, produce reports using IT and statistical programs
- Provide psychological assessments based on data interpretation
- Deliver the CRiB2 intervention as per the protocol
- Attend meetings to encourage and support trial delivery
- Update health records to ensure care providers are informed of the person's research status
- Degree in Psychology or 1st
- Post degree qualification in Psychology/Psychological practice
- Experience working with individuals with mental health issues in a health/social care setting
- Paid work as an assistant psychologist providing direct care
- Experience in psychological assessment and therapy
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder
- Work experience in a multidisciplinary team or with severe mental illness (SMI)
- Strong written communication skills
- Understanding the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication
- Formal or informal training in communication skills and therapeutic techniques
- Effective interaction with staff from all disciplines
- Ability to build relationships with individuals with mental health issues
- Independently and flexibly work with supervision
- Commitment to involving service users and carers
- Willingness to travel between sites
- Interest in working with individuals with mental health issues, particularly bipolar disorder
- Aspire to grow skills and career in clinical psychology

Job Title: Band 5 Assistant Psychologist - BIPOLAR SERVICE at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
This position is for an assistant psychologist to support the delivery of the Cognitive Remediation (CRT) in Bipolar (CRiB2) Trial on behalf of BSMHFT. The main focus will be delivering the study intervention to individuals with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, supporting consent and recruitment.
