    The opportunity:

    As ABAS Technology & Process Leader you will be instrumental in supporting the continued evolution of ABAS client services, in line with the overarching AUK digital strategy, through the application of technology to create best in class digitally enabled service models for our clients and colleagues, being an advocate for change, supporting KPIs and, in conjunction with the UK Head of Digital Services, managing strategic partnerships with the digital technology suppliers within ABAS.

    This role will be working across our UK offices therefore we are flexible on location.

    Day to day duties

  • Understand the digital suppliers and market leaders for the accountancy and profession and leverage these insights to evolve ABAS services and delivery models through application of technology, aligned with the overall AUK digital strategy.
  • Understand ABAS and wider AUK business processes to identify opportunities that can aid overall strategy.
  • Understand the ABAS client services and personas, their common and separate needs to evolve services and service delivery models and processes accordingly
  • Responsible for continued evolution and improvement of the technology stack used within ABAS; within current framework to ensure it meets quality, security and wider strategic business needs, aligned with the overall AUK digital strategy.
  • Work with key stakeholders, such as product management, continuous improvement and IT to help to deliver the ABAS elements of the UK digital roadmap including new digitally enabled products and services and the digitisation of existing services as appropriate.
  • Be an advocate for change to digital enablement both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to position Azets - internally and externally - as a market leader of digitally enabled client services.
  • Work with the ABAS Service line head and UK Head of Digital Services to strategically manage key 3rd party software relationships that underpin our ABAS digital client service. Identify synergies to the digital strategy and tilt where needed. Take ownership of external accounting software used within ABAS internal processes including the commercial business case, pricing and ROI.
  • Responsible for the Digital Success Team (DST) - a community to support internal colleagues & clients; ABAS process improvements programme, communications, wider ABAS digital skills development.
  • Supported by HR & L&D, responsible for maintaining the ABAS Azets Way SOPs & Training Materials & leading DSTs to deliver structured training across ABAS.
  • Responsible for monitoring, and jointly with ABAS Service Line Head delivering, adoption and adherence to technology enabled ABAS SOPs & processes.
  • Lead ABAS Process & Technology Integration plans in conjunction with M&A integration team as appropriate.
  • Works with UK data team to ensure deployment, usage and maintenance of internal ABAS technology conforms with UK data strategy and policy.
  • What are we looking for?

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification or experience preferred but not essential.
  • Qualification or experience in successful development and internal deployment of digitally enabled services and products within a complex B2B & B2C professional or financial services market.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with superior oral & written communication
  • Flexible attitude and willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company and its staff members
  • Experience with matrix organisations
  • Confidence in own capability, but open-minded enough to welcome and evaluate feedback from all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of working within a relevant industry business would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
