    Technology at Schroders

    There's a huge amount of change going on at Schroders. Technology is shaping our business more and more, so there are many opportunities waiting to be grabbed. And because we're a big financial player, we can put hefty backing behind good ideas.

    We're a serious business – we have enormous responsibilities to our clients and shareholders. But just because we're suited and booted, that doesn't make us stuffy; our tech teams are friendlier and more informal than you might expect.

    The base

    We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

    The team

    Salesforce continues to be the bedrock of our Asset Management business, driving out Sales, Client Service and Marketing teams. Deeply embedded into business processes, successful in performing a central role capturing digital touchpoints and returning analytics driven insights to the Asset Management business. We are now extending the value of these platforms (Sales, Service and Pardot Clouds) across the Schroders Group including Wealth and Private Assets.

    Salesforce is one of the main platforms developed by Client Service and Sales Technology, who support Schroders' global Client Service and Sales teams. As of April 2024, Client Service and Sales Technology is made up of six distinct teams with a total of more than thirty-five members.

    • A capable servant-leader, comfortable directing and supporting high performing technical teams.

    • Someone who acts to break down information and knowledge silos

    • Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices.

    • Skilled at building and sustaining positive relationships. You will have a bias towards achieving buy-in with stakeholders not just sign-off.

    • Adaptable and flexible. You will consider the right tool for the situation at hand instead of relying on the same 'go-to' tools / approaches.

    • Someone who has high technical literacy, possibly with experience in a hands-on development role.

    • Understand the importance of non-functional requirements and how to go about capturing them.

    • Ability to adapt and pick up new product domains quickly.
