Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, capable of working under pressure and across a variety of tasks, to work as part of a newly established workforce planning and performance team.
This is an exciting new role where you will be providing expert advice and guidance on highly complex Workforce Information issues.
Undertake statistical analysis, forecasting and modelling capability of workforce information to support Workforce Planning.
Work closely with stakeholders (Service Managers, Finance colleagues, People Services colleagues, Recruitment and Retention Team) in relation to data validation and data qualityto meet the workforce planning needs
Support on the roll out of workforce planning methods, tools and techniques in relation to workforce planning and information.
Support as part of a team to co-ordinate, complete and submit the Health Boards numerical and narrative workforce planning submissions working closely with Service Leads, Finance and People Services colleagues to understand future workforce changes, investment and challenges.
This post requires both remote and on site working, due to this the post is flexible in terms of base and to be agreed with the successful candidate.

The purpose of the role is to support the provision of a comprehensive workforce information service through development of a suite of Workforce Informatics reports and provision of expert advice and analysis across a range of areas. The post holder will be a specialist in their particular area and will work with managers across the organisation to develop a detailed understanding of the organisation's information requirements.
The post holder will develop and maintain a range of Power BI Dashboards to support to IHC's and corporate departments across the organisation with workforce performance, optimisation and planning.
The post holder will respond to ad hoc data requests, lead discrete pieces of analytical work and be responsible for advising on specialist workforce information issues. The post holder will support a range of organisational and IHC projects, providing specialist information advice and analysis.
The post holder will be responsible for developing new reporting tools and techniques and ensuring that the department is maximising its use of appropriate technologies to ensure the provision of a high quality workforce information service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
