Description
This position is based in London, reporting to the EMEA Regional EHS Manager.This role partners with facilities, security, engineering, researchers and lab operations to ensure safe, environmentally sound, audit and emergency ready at any time.
This role assesses site hazards, conducts incident investigations, implements business unit standards.The EHS Specialist is accountable for implementation and execution of site compliance, risk analysis, continuous improvement and managing incident investigation and corrective action.
Responsibilities:
Provide environmental and safety technical guidance on new and existing process including chemical hazards, equipment safety and process changesLead and conduct inspections to ensure regulatory compliance, perform and review risk assessments and lead incident investigationsServe as emergency response coordinatorPrepare and maintain records for waste management, spill response and other applicable safety and environmental reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with all applicable regulatory and company standards on all EHS mattersOversee and maintain equipment and chemical inventories, develop applicable environmental reports and submissions.
BS Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or related field5+ years of experience overseeing EHS responsibilities at R&D or manufacturing operations
