    Description

    The Finance function's role is to provide a complete accounting and financial management service to enable the Board and Management to meet statutory requirements and exercise effective financial control over the Crown Agents businesses

    Main Job Purpose

    Crown Agents works internationally, in countries with a range of financial/banking systems, of varying sophistication and stability. Its projects generate cash flows denominated in a variety of currencies with various working capital scenarios.

    This role is responsible for managing bank accounts/facilities and accounting as well as other disbursements, supporting the cashflow requirements and leading a team of 2 Treasury Coordinators.

    Main Responsibilities

    People:

    • Direct reports are 2 Treasury Co-ordinators, leadership and development
    • Working closely with the BPO delivering AR and AP activities
    • Working closely with the Finance Operations Manager
    • Working with the wider finance teams and business stakeholders
    • Key relationship with banks, lenders domestic and international

    Banking operations

    • Ensure efficient and effective banking operations including all aspects of bank entry and controls.
    • Open and close domestic and overseas bank accounts as required.
    • Ensure all bank transactions are posted to the accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Monitoring relationships with banks and bank facilities ensuring appropriate processing and value for money.
    • Ownership of foreign currency balance requirements and Forex
    • Ownership of the setup and controls of users of bank systems
    • Advising and communicating on deposits and balance monitoring.
    • Support the payment requirements of the BPO ensuring accuracy and timeliness of AP and AR activities.
    • Identify and rectify promptly any payment processing issues

    Cashflow

    • Delivery of quality bank movement and cashflow reporting
    • Ensure credit committee requests are complete and processes as required.
    • Ensure balances on all accounts are reviewed daily domestic and overseas.
    • Work with international offices to develop a 'One View' Cashflow

    Accounting

    • Ensure all bank transactions are posted to the accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Process all bank fees and interest in a timely manner.
    • Support the bank reconciliation process as required.

    KYC

    • Undertake KYC activities as required
    • Delivery of stakeholder progress updates

    About you

    • Financial or Treasury qualification or relevant working experience
    • Extensive experience as a financial professional.
    • Leadership and development of a team
    • Using common banking products and making manual international payments including in exotic currencies.
    • Knowledge of sanctions desirable.
    • Strong Microsoft Office (incl. Excel and Word) skills.
    • Working with financial and non-financial stakeholders around the world.
    • Experience of cashflow reporting
    • SUN experience helpful but not essential
