    BRAND NEW BRANCH OPENING

    Branch Sales Managers play a vital role within the Travis Perkins branch team, especially when joining a NEW BRANCH. You will collaborate closely with the Branch Manager to craft a sales strategy that emphasizes proactive development of existing customers, winning back lapsed customers, and attracting new ones to drive profitable sales growth.

    You will involve branch colleagues in implementing this plan to foster additional sales value for the business while upholding our commitment to operational excellence through the Doing What Matters strategy, benefiting both colleagues and customers at a local level.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Engage and motivate branch colleagues to execute the sales strategy professionally and enthusiastically, ensuring everyone understands their role in driving success through strong customer relationships.
    • Study local competition to identify opportunities and develop compelling sales propositions tailored to customer needs, enhancing our competitiveness in the market.
    • Establish and nurture effective relationships with customers to sustain ongoing profitability.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to devise local commercial plans that drive profitable sales growth.
    • Prioritize safety by ensuring all colleagues and customers leave the branch safely by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
    • Act as a key-holder, responsible for opening and closing the branch.
    • Support the Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager in various branch and business management tasks.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in a builders' merchant role is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Excellent customer service skills, ability to build effective relationships, and work collaboratively in a team setting are essential.
    • Transferable skills such as sales expertise, exceptional customer service, and inspirational leadership are highly valued.
