    Accounts Assistant at DAH Accountancy Services Ltd

    DAH Accountancy Services Ltd area small accountancy firm based in Shiptonthorpe, just outside of Market Weighton. They are looking to recruit an accounts assistant and provide them with training and qualifications to see them through to becoming a chartered accountant.

    £14,000 - £24,000 dependent on qualifications and experience

    Hours

    8:30am to 5:00pm (Monday to Friday)

    DAH Accountancy Services Ltd area small accountancy firm based in Shiptonthorpe, just outside of Market Weighton. They are looking to recruit an accounts assistant and provide them with training and qualifications to see them through to becoming a chartered accountant.

    Job Description

    The role entails a variety of accountancy, payroll, and administration duties. This will include but not limited to; bookkeeping, tax return and accounts preparation, payroll processing and administrative tasks in a growing accountancy practice.The successful candidate will either be already studying the AAT qualification (Level 2 or 3), or looking to start studying the AAT qualification. All applicants must be conversant with modern windows-based IT environments and office systems.Full training will be provided on a variety of cloud-based accounting platforms and our practice software.

    Qualifications Required

    • 9 – 4 (A* - C) GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
    • The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to study the AAT qualification and further progression.

    • Strong communication
    • Good timekeeping and deadline management
    • Ability to prioritise tasks

    Personal Qualities

    • Ability to work independently and to fit into a small friendly team environment
    • Determination and motivation, positive, can-do attitude
    • Good initiative
    • Logical approach to tasks

    • GCSE or equivalent

    Location:

    Shiptonthorpe, YO43 3PH (required), primarily office based but occasional work from home may be permitted.
