    The de Ferrers Academy - Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

    Role:

    Teaching Assistant – Level 2 (Full time and part time hours available)

    Pro-rata for 22.2 hours (£12,244.17-£12,657.35)

    The de Ferrers Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

    Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages In 2015 de Ferrers became the first school of The de Ferrers Trust (a Multi Academy Trust).

    Our vision is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.

    The Candidate

    We are looking to appoint an Teaching Assistant, who really cares about helping students to succeed. We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable and has a passion for working in the classroom, or one to one, is enthusiastic and builds rapport well with staff and students alike.

    To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of current practises on supporting children's learning and behaviour management strategies as well as a good understanding of areas of learning such as literacy, numeracy, and science. You will hold a NVQ for Teaching assistants or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.

    An ideal position if you are considering a career in teaching.It will give you an opportunity to see different teaching and learning styles as well as experienceand appreciate wider school life. You will have the ability to attend the deFerrersTrust 'Teacher training seminars'.
