    Project Performance Management Lead - Birmingham, United Kingdom - Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd

    Description

    Gleeds Infrastructure are looking for a well-rounded Project Director to join the Project Management team who will have experience across multiple UK Infrastructure sectors with a preference on Water and Utilities.

    As a Senior member of Gleeds, you will be responsible for managing projects, bidding, customer relationships, and managing and coordinating the activities of other members of the Gleeds Programmeand Project Management Team as appropriate.

    This position is ideal for an established Associate Director looking for that next step up in career development or an established Project Director looking for a new challenge and will support the ongoing growth across the UK team.

    Actively identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Unit's activities.
    Ensuring that projects are managed in accordance with Gleeds processes and procedures (governance and controls).
    Agreeing fees and charges for potential services with Business Unit Manager / Area Chair.
    Delivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our Customer's requirements.
    Resolving customer complaints.

    Ensuring sufficient resources are made available to deliver services on our projects, including managing resource conflict resolution (with fellow directors).

    Ensuring compliance with administrative requirements (appraisals, training, timesheets etc)
    Developing and enhancing Gleeds Project Management capability.
    Managing the commercial aspects of projects (e.g. scope of services/deliverables, invoices, payments, and debt management).
    Working harmoniously with other Directors and Networking across the Infrastructure business at all levels.

    Proven background of experience working across various UK Infrastructure Projects/Sectors with a preference on Water and Utilities.

    Extensive experience in delivering project management and/or programme management services on construction projects, with a proven background being responsible in leadership function in the management of major construction projects or frameworks.

    Excellent knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
    Excellent commercial background, including familiarity with contract conditions and procedures and ability to administer contracts (as contract administrator, employer's agent and/or project manager)
    Sound understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
    Demonstrate experience of leading high performance multi-disciplinary project delivery teams
    Excellent problem solving, negotiating skills, financial and numeracy management skills.
    Experience managing multiple projects.
    ChPP (Chartered Project Professional. Must hold MAPM with the Association for Project Management.
