    Description

    Wood Process and Energy is currently recruiting for a Principal Process Engineer on a contract basis to support our process engineering team in Glasgow for a minimum of 12 months.

    Hybrid Working - working from home and some days a week expected in our Glasgow office

    We are looking for engineers with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance on projects across the full life cycle, from studies through FEED and EPC to ensure that Wood continues to differentiate itself from its competitors by delivering quality projects to our Client's requirements.

    You will be joining project process teams and will have responsibility for process delivery across all stages of the design process.

    Wood Process & Energy in Glasgow currently services a wide range of UK and overseas industries in O&G, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemicals, and Pharmaceutical, but also working in the power sector and emerging technologies, such as Hydrogen and CCS in the energy transition market.

    Lead the Process Engineering services in Studies, FEEDs and EPC Projects
    # Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check work of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate
    # Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the designs
    # Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued by Wood
    # Be responsible for the checking or approval of process calculations in accordance with Wood procedures
    # Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
    # Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project 3D CAD model
    # Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across emerging energy sectors

    Chemical Engineering Degree
    Chartered Chemical Engineer status
    Experience working on and leading Studies, FEED, and EPC projects associated with O&G, refining, petrochemical, and chemicals
    Proven core Process Engineering skills, including design experience
    Demonstration of customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives
    Demonstrate successful project delivery to take ownership of tasks and understand the impact on other deliverables and disciplines
