We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is 7/7. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the GGC advanced practice Physiotherapy team in a 20 hr, Band 7 post to support flow of MSK patients within Emergency Department / MIU at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Glasgow, and the MIU New Victoria Hospital , Glasgow . The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous expert musculoskeletal practitioner utilising highly specialist knowledge to independently assess patients presenting in ED, make a provisional diagnosis, and advise on management and treatment,. The ability to refer for investigations and to other services will be required . The post holder will be expected to educate other ED staff on the assessment and management of patients with MSK conditions. An understanding of flow demands of unscheduled care would be beneficial.
Candidates should have evidence of degree in Physiotherapy, HCPC registration and evidence of post graduate education relevant to the specialty. A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience with at least 4 in musculoskeletal, 3 of which should be at a senior level.
This role does require the post holder to work a shift pattern including unsociable hours and some weekends.
