    Group Leader - Summer Camp - Bedford, Bedfordshire
    Hours of work: 08.30 – 17:30
    Salary: £412.00 – £559.17 per week based on age, experience, and qualifications (2023 wage level for February Half Term Contracts; 2024 wage level effective from April 1).
    Reporting to: Camp Senior Team, Area Manager, and Central Office
    GROUP LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Set up and maintain an engaging base room area for children
    • Ensure children have fun in a safe environment following policies
    • Adhere to activity timetable for diverse sessions
    • Collaborate with staff team for session delivery
    • Supervise children's needs throughout the day
    • Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities
    • Encourage maximum participation and incorporate children's interests
    • Take charge of general welfare and safety
    • Safely use and store session equipment
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Experience or qualifications in childcare
    • Minimum age of 18
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to handle challenges
    • Enhanced DBS check
    • Attendance at training events
    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Ensure Health and Safety compliance
    • Organize appropriate activities within qualifications
    • Promote and supervise activity participation
    • Maintain child safety and good conduct
    • Follow camp systems diligently
    • Act as a positive role model for children
    • Report child protection concerns
    • Accommodate children with special needs
    • Deliver Skills Builder sessions if needed
    • Support swimming sessions when required
    • Perform additional tasks as needed
