    Purpose of role

    Manage the execution of multiple projects within the organisation, working across Chemistry, Performance, Design and Operations to ensure successful delivery of the R&D testing programmes at laboratory scale.

    Key accountabilities

    Our research is heavily focused on developing the chemistry for our fuel; hence this role will be intricately linked to the fuel development and plans to commercialise our range of synthetic fuels, in particular:

    · Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring that research projects within responsibility have a clear, detailed, rolling work plan for the next 1-6 months.

    · Keep the plans up to date; work with the main stakeholders to identify risks and potential issues and implement plans to mitigate them as soon as reasonably possible.

    · Understand how the R&D testing program impacts the scale up plans and vice versa.

    · Maintain a fluid communication with main stakeholders including senior management to update on project progress and review business priorities.

    · Proactively engage with the different teams on a day-to-day basis, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, collating technical inputs into assignments, and troubleshooting issues to ensure successful completion.

    · Liaise with Operational Lead and Head of Design to coordinate maintenance activities and rig upgrades around the testing program to minimise disruption and reduce downtime.

    · Support the technical leads to define the testing plans according to priorities.

    · Current R&D testing infrastructure is limited in terms of number of rigs and rig's versatility. Thus, successful execution of multiple projects simultaneously to de-risk scale-up while developing our product range is challenging.

    · Additionally, the nature of Zero's R&D maturity means the successful candidate needs to be able to cope with rapid instantaneous changes in testing strategy, schedules or priorities.

    Skills and experience

    Essential

    · Degree level educated in Physical Sciences or Engineering.

    · Technical Industrial background – experience of technology/ chemical product development.

    · Excellent organisational skills with a proactive mindset and problem-solving approach.

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    · Strong interpersonal and networking skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams.

    Desirable

    • Experience in technical project management
    • Experience in a start-up organisation
    • Skilled in project management tools, e.g. MS Project
