    Description

    Role: Credit Controller

    Shifts: Dayshift Monday to Friday

    Duration: 12 months Maternity cover

    Location: Billingham

    Salary: 24,000

    Looking for a dynamic opportunity in finance? Join a leading packaging distributor in the UK Our client is on the hunt for a talented Credit Controller enhance their finance team covering maternity leave expected duration is 1 year. In this role: you'll be at the forefront of managing our accounts, ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong client relationships. With a fast-paced environment, you'll need to be adept at juggling priorities and managing your workload efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
    • Proactively identify overdue accounts and implement collection procedures, including direct communication with customers
    • Maintain detailed records of all client interactions to ensure accurate tracking of invoice statuses.
    • Verify creditworthiness of new customers through thorough credit checks.
    • Process various payment methods, including credit card transactions and cheque payments.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to approve orders and ensure compliance with insurance requirement

    To thrive in this role, you'll need:

    • Proficiency in Sage 200 and Microsoft Programs.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • A confident telephone manner.
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
    • A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
