    Description
    Software Engineering Manager
    → Full-time Remote

    TryHackMe is the fastest-growing online cyber security training platform. Our mission is to make learning and teaching cyber security easier by providing gamified security exercises and challenges. Having only been around for a handful of years, we've grown to almost 3 million community members, and our growth isn't slowing down
    As a Software Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building and leading a world-class engineering team. You'll drive innovation, ensure high-quality software development, and deliver impactful solutions that exceed user expectations. The software engineering division comprises 18 full-stack engineers and 1 engineering manager. MERN Stack - Mongo, Express, React, Node, TypeScript
    Cloud Provider and Routing - AWS, CloudFlare

    Technical Leadership - Drive collaboration and high performance across multiple software engineering squads by providing effective leadership and fostering a supportive team environment.

    Team Management - Champion ongoing professional growth: Assess individual training needs and provide development plans, including opportunities for conferences, workshops, and skill development programs.

    Own the software development lifecycle - Champion quality through rigorous QA practices, track KPIs aligned with OKRs, continuously identify process improvements, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

    Build and develop a World-class Engineering Team - Attract, recruit, and onboard top engineering talent, helping to cultivate a diverse and highly skilled team.

    Drive Continuous Delivery - Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Content and Data Science to deliver impactful solutions that consistently exceed user expectations.

    Deep experience with our core technologies (Node, TypeScript)
    Rich experience in driving, executing and delivering high-quality technical solutions
    Previous experience leading software teams of sizes up to 8 people
    Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.

    Understand what qualities make a high-performing team of engineers and have the ability to impact the team towards them.

    Passionate about mentoring and coaching other engineers to help advance their goals and careers
