    We are delighted to be supporting a leading global hedge fund that prioritises technology and data science to tackle business complexities.

    They are forming a robust Quant Technology team that's dedicated to crafting cutting-edge in-house analytics and trade discovery tools and are now looking to expand their team with an experienced Lead Data Scientist that will be managing a small team of Junior Data Scientists in the London office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Devising cutting-edge algorithms and models to extract actionable insights from vast datasets, enabling valuable predictions for our trading teams.
    • Collaborating closely with trading teams to pinpoint potential prediction targets and pertinent datasets.
    • Conducting preliminary research to evaluate the feasibility and potential success of identified targets.
    • Engineering and constructing sophisticated, production-ready machine learning algorithms integral to daily trading decisions and operations.

    Key Qualifications:

    • Extensive expertise in implementing deep learning and advanced machine learning techniques specifically within finance.
    • Experience managing a team of Junior Data scientists
    • Proficiency in data forecasting, analysis, prediction, and deriving trading signals from datasets.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with TensorFlow (and/or Keras), scikit-learn, and related tools, coupled with a strong command of Python.
    • Robust analytical and mathematical abilities essential for model development and validation.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills capable of tackling intricate challenges.
    • Effective communication abilities vital for collaboration, along with the capacity to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment.
