    Software Developer

    ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server

    Leeds - onsite work with some flex

    £25K up to max of £30K DOE

    What is the opportunity?

    A long established, family led, business based in Leeds, is seeking a talented and passionate Junior Software Engineer to join a small but skills team.

    Our customer, that has a unique and interesting market position, is looking to move technology to front and center of its business operation, and going through a major programme of redeveloping and integrating all of their key business systems, ecommerce platform and website functionality.

    The have the capacity and bandwidth to bring on a new developer, at the start or early part of their career.

    If you have a knack for ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server, along with an eagerness to learn and grow, this is the perfect opportunity for you

    What will you be doing?

    As a Software Developer, you will work closely with other talented developers, contributing to the creation and maintenance of our cutting-edge software and web solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
    • Assisting in the design and implementation of software modules
    • Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards
    • Troubleshooting and resolving software defects
    • Participating in team discussions and contributing ideas to improve our software products

    What skills do we need from you?

    • Strong knowledge of ASP.Net, C#, and SQL Server
    • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • A passion for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders
    • A passion and ability to learn and evolve your technical skills.

    What is your background?

    It is likely that to be successful in this role that:

    • You are based in or locally to Leeds and happy working regularly in an office.
    • You are a recent graduate with a relevant degree or have retrained in software engineering or have 1-2 years of commercial experience in a similar role.
    • All applications are welcome, however our customer not able to sponsor work visas currently.
