    Are you ambitious for leadership in an organisation which champions a progressive and transformative approach to education.
    We are seeking a Head of English at Twynham School to join our exciting journey.

    Twynham School and The Grange School (TGS) federated teaching structures for September 2021 enabling us to deliver world class educational experiences to students across both of our schools.

    This is a rare opportunity to join our organisation working as a Head of English at Twynham School.

    You will be part of a leadership group leading English across both of our schools with a particular responsibility for the department at Twynham School.

    Lead a strong and experienced English department

    • Further improve the outcomes for students in English at Twynham School
    • Further shape the English curriculum in all key stages to ensure that it is exciting and
    Has an honours degree (or equivalent) in English or a related discipline

    • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • Is ambitious for wider school leadership and thrives in an aspirational culture
    • Has proven experience of improving outcomes for students in English as a
    Has successful experience of teaching English across Key Stage 3-4 in a state 11-16
    or 11-18 school

    • Has an acute understanding of the current Ofsted framework and the application of
    the Quality of Education judgement within the English curriculum.

    • Will promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance
    with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
