    An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Comms Channel Manager to join the HR department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The primary purpose of this role is to manage our internal comms channels, ensuring content is appropriate and aligned to brand requirements and business strategy. This role will not only evaluate, manage and measure our existing channels, it will also introduce new channels where there is a business requirement to do so.

    Job role:

    • Work with senior managers across the business to define internal comms channel strategy and development plan, ensuring alignment with our global comms colleagues in our parent company
    • Working with business unit and functional teams across Fortescue WAE, in all our regions of operation, to develop and deliver the internal comms content plan that informs and engages our employees to deliver our business goals
    • Produce high quality internal comms content in a range of media including written (particularly for email and intranet), video, audio, and visual formats.
    • Define the internal comms messaging structure and ensure it is used consistently across all corporate internal communications; ensure this evolves in response to changing business priorities and strategy
    • Define and deliver channels, campaigns and other activities to capture employee voice, making sure employee listening is a core part of our internal comms strategy and plan (this does not include management of corporate people experience surveys, but will include supporting those survey programmes).
    • Manage and develop our intranet, working with functional teams across the business and our geographic regions to make sure it continues to support our business operations

    You'll have:

    • Relevant experience in an internal comms role, preferably in house
    • Able to work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels, including working in a matrix organisation
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
    • Excellent planner – able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projects
    • Experience working with Sharepoint intranets and/or communication sites – in particular measurement of engagement, building pages and content, use of Hub sites
    • A team player who measures their own success by the success of the wider team and community they are working with
    • Preferably some experience with basic video production skills (e.g. Clipchamp) and design products (e.g. Canva)
