    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Wood is looking for a seasoned Senior or Lead Planning Engineer to join the team in Reading on a staff basis. This role will focus on supporting a range of energy transition and conventional energy projects while offering flexible/hybrid working options.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Acts as Planning focal point for specific project scopes
    • Review and maintain planning control structures aligned with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
    • Review and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate software
    • Monitor and control planning activities throughout project lifecycle
    • Liaise with various functions to stay updated on project activities and their impact on schedule and manpower
    • Analyze and issue project plans and progress reports as per reporting requirements
    • Assess and communicate schedule impact of change notifications
    • Attend project progress meetings and reviews
    • Lead and participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in planning, scheduling, and project controls
    • Proficiency in planning tools, spreadsheets, and databases
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Numerical, analytical, and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
    • Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and meet deadlines
