    Description

    The role

    The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only (8.30am pm daily with 45 minutes lunch). This role is linked to a named pupil and is dependent on funding and establishment requirements.

    The Governors at St. Thomas' are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to offer effective support for teaching and learning opportunities, under the guidance of teaching staff and SENCO for an EYFS pupil with significant additional needs.

    This is a busy role which requires knowledge of day-to-day financial processes, combined with exceptional customer service and administrative skills. Excellent IT skills as well as the ability to prioritise your workload and manage your time efficiently and effectively are essential. You will have a minimum of GCSE English and Maths, experience of working in a clerical/administrative environment ideally in a school setting, using Microsoft Office, FMS & SIMS.

    The Governors are seeking applications from teaching assistants who will:

  • Be qualified at minimum NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent)
  • Have relevant recent experience within the primary age range
  • Have experience of working 1:1 with a pupil
  • Have experience of supporting pupils with significant additional needs
  • Engage and support pupil in their personalised curriculum through a variety of strategies
  • Maintain and promote the Christian ethos of the school
