Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the school's alternative provision centre, called The Route, where we are looking to appoint an Alternative Curriculum Practitioner. The Alternative Curriculum Practitioner will play a key pastoral and emotional supportive role in the school to support pupil learning and wellbeing. The post holder will also share good practice, support one to one sessions and participate/lead group work.
You will work under the professional guidance of our inspiring and supportive Alternative Curriculum Co-Ordinator to implement work programmes for individuals/groups which could include those requiring specific behaviour for learning assistance.The role will be based in our exciting and inclusive inclusion facility The Route, which offers exceptional support of anxious/vulnerable pupils, both within the unit and within their transition into mainstream education. The ability to engage and support with a holistic and dynamic approach is central to the philosophy of The Route.
Single Status Grade 5/6 Points depending on experience)
Salary £23,893 - £25,545 pro-rata - Actual Pay £16,438-£17,793
35 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.30am to 4.00pm), 40 weeks per year
(39 weeks term time incl Inset days plus 1 week during school holidays)
