    Description
    Vacancy: 1:1 Teaching Assistant


    Langdale Primary is seeking to recruit a passionate and empathetic teaching assistant to work one to one with a child with additional needs.

    The role will involve working one to one with a child, this may be in class or in a small group.

    An EHCP is in place for the child and you will be partly responsible for implementing this plan alongside the class teacher.

    The successful candidate will be able to implement positive behaviour management techniques, encouraging the child to be confident, independent and successful.


    Contract type:
    Maternity Cover, Term Time Only
    In conjunction with teacher, record pupils' progress, provide feedback to appropriate educa-tion professionals, e.g. LEA officers, Ofsted Inspectors.
    Co-ordinate and organise pupils attending extra-curricular activities/out of school activities under
    Support to School
    Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or

    Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropri-ate person.

    Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
    Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required

    NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistant, or recognized equivalent qualification, or demonstrate equiva-lent knowledge, skills and experience.
    Provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
    Use specialist knowledge/experience to provide appropriate support to the pupil in relation to their individual needs, e.g. behaviour management strategies.
    Involvement in the development and implementation of Individual Education, Behaviour, Support and Mentoring plans.

    Be passionate about working with children who have SEN and be able to assist in their social, health and hygiene development.
