Description

This is a unique chance for a biologist who specialises in invertebrates to apply their expertise to propose, design and execute experiments to improve our understanding of these novel pesticides.

If successful, you will be part of a team using automated analysis of behaviour to understand the activity of pesticides.

You will work closely with the Invertebrate Genetics team and the Insect Control Lead team and will be part of a larger cross-functional project team working towards these goals.

Contribute to the digital innovation of invertebrate phenotyping via automated symptomology analysis.

Introduce new technologies, techniques, or ways of working to improve the productivity of existing projects/platforms.
Maintain awareness of key strategic project goals. Maintain high standards of HSE compliance, which includes following all risk assessments, reporting of safety incidents and supporting the lab stewards community when requested.

Must have a degree/PhD in a relevant science discipline. Appropriate technical science background is critical.

Experience with behavioural analysis would be desirable.
Experience with programming in Python would be desirable.
