    Payroll Officer/Accounts Assistant - Leeds, United Kingdom - Page Personnel Sales

    Page Personnel are currently working with a well established business who are seeking a Payroll/Accounts Assistant to join there team in Leeds on a permanent basis.

    This position involves providing essential support to our Accounting & Finance department as a Payroll/Accounts Assistant.

    Our client is a well-established company and are recognised for delivering high-quality services to a diverse range of customers across the UK.

    Processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
    Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks.
    Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
    Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
    Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.

    Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.

    Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
    Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests.
    A successful Payroll/Accounts Assistant should have:
    A solid understanding of payroll and accounts procedures.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accountancy software.
    A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
    A competitive salary range of £24,000 - £27,000 per annum.
