    Sustainable Investment Analyst (Research)

    The Titan Group provides a broad range of services across the whole wealth value chain – from financial planning, investment management through to platform, trading, settlement and custody services. Its strategy is to be able to offer modular, incremental services to its clients allowing them to adjust their business models as and when they choose to. As part of this Titan is also an active acquirer of UK based asset managers and other wealth related businesses.

    Square Mile, part of Titan Wealth's Asset Managements arm, is an independent investment research business that works in partnership with regulated professional financial services firms. We help advisers to develop informed investment recommendations so that, with their support, their clients can make the decisions that are right for them. Focusing first and foremost on in depth, qualitative fund research, we provide tailored support and investment services for financial advisers and institutions.

    The role

    The purpose of the role is to enable the provision of ratings and 3D Investing reports through maintaining and updating the 3D Investing company and fund databases. Duties include, but are not limited to

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the research of sustainable funds across equities, fixed income and multi-asset. This includes pitching new fund ideas for Square Mile's Academy of Funds.
    • Produce in-depth 3D reports utilising Square Mile's proprietary Atlas sustainable investing model.
    • Maintenance of the proprietary 3D methodology and contribute to the responsible investment committee.
    • Identify and research controversies within both sustainable and traditional funds.
    • Producing reports from databases including performance analysis, segmentation of Responsible investment funds, 3D Investing classifications, ethical controversies, impact metrics for fund profiles, impact metrics for reporting on MPS.
    • Manage the workflow cycle, supporting client servicing team with fund specific information and analysis.
    • To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required.
    • Adhere to consumer duty.

    Skills

    • At least 2 years of experience in in sustainability research field.
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field; Sustainability, resource economics, environmental science, Finance or economics, but with modules or extra-curricular interest in sustainability.
    • Experience working in sustainability in a corporate environment is preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail.
    • The ability to analyse large amounts of information quickly.
    • Good time management.
    • A personal commitment to environmental and social issues.
    • A good level of environmental and social knowledge and understanding.
    • A high level of critical analysis.
    • Experience with using MS Office software, with specific familiarity with MS Excel
    • Qualifications such as the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), CISI or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would also be desirable but not essential.
    • We're a small team of people, so you'll also need to be able to build close relationships quickly with your colleagues.
