- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas of improvement
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals
- Assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Perform cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain accurate financial records
- Be able to work along a small team of two other people
- Able to work with all different types of strong personalities
- Degree / proven qualification in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, CMA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA certification is required
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practice
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modelling
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working within accounts in a logistics sector or similar is desirable
