Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Underwriter - UK Casualty at Burns & Wilcox United Kingdom. The Assistant Underwriter will be responsible for assisting Head of Casualty to underwrite and grow a profitable and diversified portfolio of UK Casualty business, on a direct basis.

This role will be located in City Of London and will have flexibility for some remote work.

Role Information

Prior experience as an Assistant Underwriter is essential (preferably minimum 2 years)
Adheres to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimize and maximise efficiency.
Analysing data and supporting team from administration capacity
Assisting the head of Casualty
Participate in all relevant meetings, in order to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice
Positively promote the department, division and company
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with complex information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Cert CII
