    Description

    Are you looking for a role at a forward-thinking, busy accountancy firm? One that is growing and listens to its team members. A firm that offers the latest technology, flexible working hours and options to work from home.

    This is a flexible position. Ideally around 30 hours per week, so if you need flexible working around school hours then do not worry. This can be accommodated.

    This is an office based role in Cottingham, East Yorkshire.

    We are conveniently located in the heart of Cottingham with shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.

    As well as a competitive salary (depending on experience and qualifications), we also offer 30 days holidays, auto enrolment pension, perk box, basic healthcare package and as much tea and coffee as you can drink

    You must have at least two years experience of the roles below. Please do NOT apply if you do not.

    The role will include:

    • Bookkeeping and VAT work for a portfolio of small business clients
    • Preparing management accounts for some of these clients.
    • Setting up and training clients on cloud bookkeeping solutions.

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Has very good communication and organisation skills.
    • Works in a efficient way and is able to deal with a portfolio of clients.
    • Has the ability to work to deadlines.
    • You must be a team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
    • Experience with Xero and QuickBooks online bookkeeping systems is essential.
    • Experience within practice is beneficial.

    Experience:

    • small business bookkeeping & VAT: 2 years (required)
    • working in an accountancy practice: 2 years (required)
