Project:

As Associate Director you will head up a small team of cost managers onsite in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire (working onsite)as part of a £4bn national defence construction programme. This work forms part of a five year programme to deliver new build assets for the military establishments. You will be instrumental in delivering a major construction programme using NEC3 in a secure construction environment.

Conducting feasibility studies, business cases and writing procurement reports.

Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project.

Managing estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.

Managing the procurement process, ensuring that all stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively.

Ensuring that post contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.

Ensuring that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.

Ensuring the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.

Being in attendance at meetings and active participation.

Being a key interface with client and other consultants, at all project stages.

Providing line management and overseeing the recruitment.

About you

You have a bachelor's degree and a member of a relevant institute. You have a track record of delivering work for public or defence sector clients in a post contract environment. You have good working knowledge of NEC3. You have experience in negotiating, influencing and communication skills to command professional respect at all levels.
