    Permanent Position

    37 hours per week

    Grade F - Salary range £28,770 to £31,364 per annum

    We are seeking a dynamic individual with a strong focus on customer service to join our Desktop Services team at Warwick District Council. This team provides a wide range of desktop support to over 600 users, including Councillors, for their ICT needs.

    The use of ICT plays a crucial role in the Council's operations, and as a member of the Desktop Services team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective use of these technologies through prompt fault resolution, support, guidance, and exploring new technologies. Collaboration with other ICT teams and external suppliers is essential.

    In addition to handling second-line fault resolution, you will be expected to specialize in areas like Office 365 administration, Cyber Security, and System Centre Configuration Manager. The role involves designing systems and processes to enhance efficiency across the Council.

    Ideally, you should have a degree in an ICT field or substantial hands-on experience in managing ICT networks in a Microsoft environment. Extensive experience in a customer service setting is also a prerequisite.

    You should possess:

    • A solid understanding of Microsoft Windows and Office 365
    • Knowledge of network infrastructures
    • Familiarity with cyber security principles and technologies
    • Experience in configuring complex ICT systems like Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Entra, etc.

    The ideal candidate can work both independently and collaboratively, focusing on introducing and integrating new intricate technologies and sharing knowledge with team members.

    Flexibility, adaptability, multitasking abilities, and effective priority management in a fast-paced environment are crucial.

    While remote work is primarily possible for this role, occasional on-site presence at WDC offices in Warwick District is necessary for specific responsibilities. Travel expenses from home to the office will be the responsibility of the employee.
