    We're looking for a talented Opera Mini Developer to join our global team in Technology.When it comes to being successful at Sportserve, there's more to it than just being really good at the technical stuff. It's also your ability to be an awesome problem solver. And here's the thing, we totally get that we can't all be experts in everything, right? So, it's all about having that thirst for knowledge and being passionate about learning.

    You'll also needamazing attention to detail, so if something seems off, you won't rest until you've figured out what's going on. We see ourselves as a cool group of people who love coming up with new ideas and making things happen. As long as you have a true passion for creating awesome stuff, you'll fit right in.

    What you'll be getting up to:

    You'd spend most of your time developing and improving existing Opera Mini projects, for example:

    • Building front-facing websites and pages based on provided technical and functional specifications.
    • Implementing different strategies for existing products and tools based on requirements.
    • Taking part in new payment provider integrations.

    We'd also do a ton of work together like:

    • Architecture and developing new features.
    • Prototyping and evaluating potential implementations.
    • Meeting business stakeholders to understand the problems they wish to address

    You will spend a lot of time programming, brainstorming on challenging problems and prototyping different ideas. You wouldn't be just churning through tickets in thebacklog — you'd be helping to design entirely new products, figuring out what exactly we're even building and why.

    While being a somewhat big company, we're split into small teams which means that even though we each have our areas of expertise, we all wear many hats. We're looking for a programmer, but you'd also help out with things like:

    • Writing and improving the documentation for the products and tools we make.
    • Helping customer support answer customer questions.
    • Maintaining the ownership of our product.
    • Assisting in troubleshooting production incidents.
    • Take part in OOH on-call application support rota

    If you've ever maintained a large project, working with us carries a lot of the same responsibilities.

    R equirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
    • Excellent command of the English language - verbal & written
    • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Collaborative team player.
    • Highly organised with a strong ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
    • Experience with Agile methodology and tools like Jira is a plus
    • Proven project management skills

    • Caching: cache replication, TTL, poisoning, hit and miss, debugging

    • Asynchronous data fetching mechanisms

    • Independent in composing complex queuing configurations

    • Testing with PhpUnit

    • TDD
