    We are looking for a Community Activities Organiser to provide maternity leave cover for the Brain Health andDementia Resource Centre in Helensburgh.

    You will facilitate a range of community activities and opportunitiesthat fill identified gaps and meet the needs of people living with dementia and their families.

    The successful applicant will have a positive approach to dementia. You will be flexible, inclusive, creative, andorganised in your approach. You will have a positive approach to your own continued professional development and awillingness to participate in relevant training. A relevant qualification and previous experience of workingwith people with dementia would be an advantage.

    Our day servicesare personalised to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic dementia specific supportwith a focus on maintaining skills and independence.

    The post is a flexible contract covering Paisley. The day services in Paisley are open Monday – Saturday 9am-4pm tomeet the needs of the service.

    A willingness to learn and attend training isessential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be anadvantage.

    We are looking for a unique individual who can provide person- centred support for those individuals living withdementia who attend our Day Care centre in Midlothian and Community Activity Groups.

    Supporting individuals to keep connected to their communities, engage in their interests and hobbies and access peersupport. Working during weekdays, the use of a car is essential (mileage and expenses are paid).

    A flexible approach is essential, so you will have the ability and willingness to cover sessions in a planned way dueto annual leave, training, or last minute cover.

    Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia. A willingness to learn and participate in training (including SVQ's) and registration with theSSSC is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be anadvantage.
    Home-based (must live in the North or North East of Scotland). (Remote)
    You will be helping disabled people feel unstoppable.

    You will be the person who will empower them to reach their potential, offering one to one support and coordinatingchances for people to get together, make friends and build their support network.

    You will be the person that raises awareness of spina bifida and hydrocephalus within the community and with serviceproviders to ensure that no one affected by our conditions feels alone.

    To coordinate the delivery of engaging social groups for our children, young people, adults and theircarers.
    To work with families and people with spina bifida andhydrocephalus to help them advocate for services and support.
    To gather data and feedback to learn from failures and apply learning to improve processes and service delivery.

    Are you a creative and motivated individual with the passion and drive to support people with a recent diagnosis ofdementia to live well in their community?

    If so, you can be part of a National Team of Post Diagnostic Support Link Workers (PDS Link Workers) providinghigh-quality, person-centred support to people living with dementia and their families for a minimum of a yearfollowing diagnosis in line the Scottish Government's minimum guarantee.

    The aim of the PDS National Service is to enable people to live well with dementia and is centred around AlzheimerScotland's 5 pillar model so that people move on to a period of supported self- management.

    The model includes understanding the illness and coming to terms with the diagnosis, peer support, connecting andmaintaining links with their community along with planning for future care and decision making to develop anoutcome focused plan to support their future hopes, desires and aspirations.

    Supporting our Perth locality, the post will be based within the North Perthshire Community Mental Health Team.

    Skills in using digital platforms are essential as we use a blended approach to support people that involve somevirtual meetings and on-line groups.

    Applicants must hold a recognised relevant professional qualification, have a good understanding of dementia and howit affects people and their families along with excellent communication skills, a warm flexible approach,combined with skills in empathy and relationship building.
